Final Project

For our final in ecomm, we created a website on Dreamweaver. It went from pretty much a blank screen to a color filled website. To create this website, we watched a series of tutorials and worked with them. I learned a lot about dreamweaver and the general gist of how to use. I feel like I did everything really well because I replayed parts of the video didn't understand and I also asked many questions along the way to ensure that I knew what I was doing. Overall, this project, like all the other video ones, was a success. I learned a lot and grew a lot from this experience.

Chase Scene

My group had a lot of trouble figuring out ideas for the video. we were a group mate short the planning day so the three of us had to try our best. One of my group mates and I both hd very different ideas of what do but we eventually came up with an idea both of us liked. Everyone agreed with the location for the video because it was already discussed beforehand. The location was kind of self explanatory with the idea. I had originally been one of the actors but I decided to give that role to another person in my group and I was the camera man. We didn't have any challenges or disagreements so the process ran smoothly. The other roles just kind of fell into place and they all worked out. My overall Premier experience has been good. I had pretty big problem that occurred last project but it just prepared me to know what to do if it happens again. My group worked really well together. We had a few minor issues along the way but nothing major. This project overall was a huge success.

AB sequence

In ecomm this week, we learned about AB sequence, getting from one place to another. Our video was about how to escape detention. We used all the six shots, highlighting the close up of Thalia's reaction when she saw the teacher. From the very beginning, we had the idea of escaping detention. It was a funny and modern way to do the AB sequence. I trimmed quite a lot on Premier having to cut nearly half of one of the shots. The main goal of the actor for this video was to leave the classroom, where detention was, and getting outside, freedom. On the way, Thalia experiences many obstacles along the way, including a teacher, and me hallway surfing and tripping her. My group worked really well together. I mainly did the filming, but got to hallway surf at one point in the video. Thalia was the main actor in the video, and Hannah did a little bit of both. We all worked very well together and didn't get distracted.

How To Print a Document Video

How to Print A Document

This past week in e9, we were working on our first video project. My group got most of our inspiration from previous videos, and blended their ideas together to create our own. My group had a challenging time with deciding who would do the acting. Everyone was participating and eventually we worked it out. I was the director of my group and learned that you have to be mindful of what everyone wants, not just yourself. For the project, we used Adobe Premire Pro, and for the filming, we used iPads. We were very good with communication, and project management, and leadership, making it so the video blended nicely together and so did our group work. I would probably try harder to stay on task when we have time. We kind of messed around a little bit at first, but then we started to work harder. We worked very well together which is critical for making a good video. I will definitely continue to work well and communicate with my group, and I will also try to keep my group on task. I personally thought that this project went very well. My group and I eventually were very productive and worked well together.

Sketchup House

In e9 we created a house on Google Sketchup over the course of 3 weeks. My house was inspired by a very basic looking design on Google Sketchup Houses. This design was simple and small, making it the perfect blueprint for my house. It has a driveway with a half covered porch. The house itself is small and only a few rooms. My house was created when I typed the deminsions into Google Sketchup. From there, I used the push pull tool to give volume to my house. The roof was next, I had to pull the center of it up. lastly, I added on the windows and doors and colored it, using textures such as brick and roofing.

We also embarked on the action packed journey of... *drum roll* Career Cruising. I learned that I would make a good web designer, graphic designer, and advertiser. These careers are in fact things I'm interested in and so I definitely liked the outcomes of this intense career adventure.

Ten Words

This project was a fun start to animation. We were asked to choose ten words that describe us. My first word was talkative because I am a very talkative person. My second word was athletic, because I am a swimmer and a runner. Next I have funny because I always have a good joke, or fall down. Outgoing is my next word because I always go out of my way to meet new people. Strong would be my next word because I am mentally and physically strong. I chose adventurous next because I am not afraid to try new things.

Next would be brave because along with adventurous, I am also brave. Obnoxious and annoying are my next to words because along with talking I truthfully never shut up. My friends and family would all agree with me being annoying and obnoxious. Amazing is last word because, truthfully, if you knew me, you would understand that I am really am amazing.

E9 sidewalk chalk team project

Today in E9, we had our first assignment. We were put into groups of four and together we created a design that represented us as a whole. My group decided to create a shield-like design with four items, waves, a soccer ball, a cross country shoe, and a longboard, each item representing a member in our group. For example, the waves represented me, because I am a swimmer. The soccer ball respresented my group mate Cole, because he plays soccer. The shoe represented cross country and the longboard represented longboarding/ skateboarding.

"This project was great, fun, and extraordinary. You had to have one mind in a group of four people. It was very unique of how we worked together."~ Brooke Cunningham

In one of the four corners, I drew my symbol, each member of my group doing the same in separate corners. Then in the center, we added a raven, because we all attended ONW and found it an important part of us all. We settled for this design after many changes and improvements. We at first just had the raven, drawn by my group mate Nick, until I thought up the idea of the shield. Then, one of my other group mates Molly, thought up the idea of a symbol representing us put into each corner. Together, we created a pretty awesome design that looked great on paper.

"It was good. I mean, everyone in my group was pretty quiet, which was understandable. But we managed to get everything done, so it was good."~ Thalia Prehoda.

We then talked about color choices, sticking mostly to the actual colors. For example, the water was blue, the soccer ball was black and white, etc... Next came the hard part, drawing it again, only with no earaser this time. We (Nick) drew the raven first. While Cole drew the shield, I worked on coloring the raven. We used black, blue, and yellow.  Next we drew the symbols, taking a lot of time to make them look as best we could. The end result on the pavement wasn't quite as impressive as it was on paper, but we collaborated and had a great time, which was what this assignment was all about. All in all, I think this project was a success in collaborating and unlocking our creative thinking.
